About the Founder

Averill “AV” is the founder of Forsynexus Consulting, LLC, where he advises biotech and pharmaceutical companies on clinical contracting strategy, trial budget development, vendor negotiations, and the execution of global clinical trials.
 

He holds dual law degrees, including a U.S. Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master’s in International Law from Leiden University, along with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has also pursued graduate studies in biotechnology at Harvard University. His multidisciplinary background enables him to operate at the intersection of legal strategy, clinical execution, and financial oversight.
 

He began his career in Europe, where he spent several years in the Netherlands building and scaling the clinical contracting function at Johnson & Johnson. The organization evolved into a centralized contracting hub, supporting global clinical operations and complex vendor ecosystems.

He later worked with a U.S.-based biotech company with international operations, including time in Paris, France, further expanding his experience in cross-border clinical development and vendor management.
 

In the United States, he has worked across major biotech hubs including New York City, San Francisco, Boston, and Philadelphia—supporting companies at various stages of development, from early-stage programs through Phase 3 clinical trials.

Through Forsynexus, he supports both U.S. and international clinical programs, with a focus on aligning contracts, budgets, and vendor performance. His work includes developing and negotiating clinical trial budgets, optimizing cost structures across CROs and service providers, and ensuring financial and contractual terms are tightly integrated. Known for his execution-driven approach, he partners directly with leadership teams to reduce delays, control costs, and build contracting frameworks that withstand both regulatory scrutiny and operational pressure.
